Hi! politics
One of my hobbies is listening to political podcasts. It’s probably not the healthiest choice. It’s somewhat better than binge-drinking but definitely below origami or collecting bottles for the nickel each you can earn from a recycling center (still true, I checked!). Anyway, there is a lot to learn about resilience from watching politics.
Resilience is the ability to navigate change with intention and purpose towards a positive goal.
You may or may not agree with the “positive” but every debate, question, announcement gives an example of how the candidate or elected official has decided to aim their resilience. And, though there is not always a lot that’s positive to say about politics, it is a great study of different approaches to resilience. So, as we head into a Presidential election year in the US and politics around the world are taking our attention but often draining our resilience, I offer this is a way you can watch and always take away something valuable for you.
Do you feel like you can learn something from a politician? Comment, I’m curious!
All my best,
Dr. G
