It’s OK to pee alone.
When our children are small, but not so small they can be stuck in a crib for 2 minutes, they often want to follow us everywhere. Every. Where. When – and how – is it OK to leave them to play for a minute and shut the bathroom door?
How can we
- Encourage kids to stay with a sitter for a bit (or a lot)?
- Let kids go play at a friend’s house?
- Get kids to learn to cross the street alone?
- Go for a sleepover?
- Travel with friends?
