In the US, this week was Election Day. Wherever you live, if you’re in democracy, you have been through the stress that is DAED.
Days After Election Day.
There is a lot of run up and hubbub and hoopla around Election Day. And it’s important! And I really hope you voted!!
That said, the struggle for most people comes AFTER. After is when there is so much stress. Loss, and distrust and discomfort. Those reflex reactions our brain has to change, to the results – or sometimes the frustrating lack of results.
As you well know by now, as an adult living in the 2020’s, we can’t control all the stressors that come at us. We can, however, control what we do with that stress.
I offer you this context for your DAED stress.
Whether you’re in the US or any other democracy, I’d really like to know if you’ve noticed this stress and how it lands for you.
All my best,
Dr. G
