We Got You Podcast Episode 002: Fear

Fear is rampant. The year 2020 has amplified our anxiety because so much feels out of our control. We are all living in a constant state of heightened vigilance, worrying about will happen next, figuring out how to deal with strained-to-the-breaking-point finances, and caring for the overall mental health of ourselves and families. In this episode Dr. G, Brian Copeland, and Jeannette Kaplun explore these fears and offer strategies to overcoming them. They are also joined by tax consultant Stephanie Anderson, who offers advice and tips to deal with economic worry. “We Got You” tackles what the new not-so-normal might look like and how to stop feeling fear so much of the time.

About The Podcast

This episode is number two of a four-part YouTube Series co-hosted by Dr. Deborah Gilboa, Jeannete Kaplun, and Brian Copeland that tackles the mental distress many of us are experiencing right now. Normalization of the struggle each person faces. Empathy for the pain, fear, confusion, anger, sadness, isolation that are present for so many each day. Strategies for moving forward in unprecedented times and circumstances. It aims to be a welcoming, approachable conversation that honors emotion while offering real life solutions to the pain and fears people are experiencing right now in an incredibly vulnerable time known as 2020, that is only going to be amplified during the holidays. The three hosts strive to give people the tools to talk about what’s happening and to reach out – for themselves and for anyone about whom they’re worried. In a lively, yet informative conversation, audiences can learn and laugh a little, and look at some tough realities — from Covid fatigue and political unease to economic woes and feelings of isolation– so everyone knows they’re not alone and their experience matters. They matter.
