Hi!
Last week I asked you about the next few months and which of your priorities you might choose to honor. My premise was that you have some kind of change happening right now, in your schedule, or the weather, or your responsibilities shifting… and wouldn’t it be cool to figure out one good way to use that shift?
You people DO NOT DISAPPONT! The ideas flooded in, and the insights and detail you took the time to share showed me that you have ideas just below the surface, ready to bubble up.
The truth is, though, that a lot of you expressed a deep lack of confidence in your ability to actually do any of those things.
But I believe! In you! You CAN do what you mean to do. I know it, but I think y’all, yous guys, all y’all, yins (if you know this Pittsburgh-ism, holler!) need a reminder.
SO.
What is one quick thing you meant to do this week? Think back on the last few hours or days and find one thing you said “Oh, I should…”
- Schedule a (doctor’s/dentist’s/hair/therapy/vet/notary/political/whatever) appointment
- Order more (printer cartridges/office supplies/candy)
- Say thank you to that person
- Hang that up
- Take out the garbage
- Make that phone call
- Fix that thing
- Start a load of laundry
- Something else
Do it.
Do it!
Do. It.
rn (that means right now)
Then come back and hit reply and tell me. THAT builds resilience, and confidence.
All my best,
Dr. G
