Today I am thrilled to be featured on Future Fortified. They are a non-profit dedicated to improving nutrition for pregnant women and children around the world. They asked me how to get parents thinking about global nutrition while we are thinking about feeding our own kids. I hope you’ll come over and see my idea for an “Opportunity Jar;” a way to improve the lives of starving children and teach our kids that they can make the world a better place!

Love finding wonderful new non-profits making a difference in the world in the most important ways. As a parent I just can’t imagine ever not being able to provide food, the basic of all necessities, to my son. It’s heartbreaking that so many have to struggle with this around the world, and even in our own country.
I think so many of us feel that way, and are grateful for whatever good fortune collided to have our children born here in a land of chances. There are hungry kids in the US for sure, and that is another travesty we must address!
